Our Mission

The American Center for Democracy is an independent not for profit (501(c)(3) organization that does not accept contributions from the U.S. or foreign governments.

The American Center for Democracy, a research and education center, is dedicated to exposing and monitoring the enemies of individual freedom and democracy. We identify political, economic, cultural, and security threats to the United States from within and without. We provide knowledge-based analysis and risk assessment on national and international threats in articles, white papers, a Blog, and on-and-off-the-record specialized briefings and wargaming.

We identify strategies used by radical regimes and movements to subvert Judeo-Christian based Western democratic systems, America’ Constitutional rights, and political and economic freedoms.

ACD’s  Economic Warfare Institute includes Threatcon  (threat readiness condition) program.  It examines the threats and vulnerabilities of the U.S. CyberSpace, Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT &GPS), physical attacks, as well as WMD and WME and the impact of such threats to U.S. economy and national security including the civilian infrastructure, communication, the electric grid, financial markets, and other industries. We also identify and analyze strategies behind the spread of Islamic radicalization, “Political Islam,” Anti-Semitism, and methods of disinformation. We follow the money trail of radical Islamist and domestic and foreign anti-American groups. We draft new policies to address these problems and look for new methods to mitigate and counter them, and brief legislators and leaders of the public and private sectors.

Ambassador R. James Woolsey, former Director of Central Intelligence and a member of our Board of Directors, says: “The ACD’s ability to predict future threats is second to none.“

The American Center for Democracy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
