Rachel Ehreneld, the author of Funding Evil: How Terrorism is Financed – and How to Stop It, incurred a default judgment against her in a British libel suit filed by a Saudi banker named in the book. Her reaction led to a new federal law in the United States, the SPEECH Act of 2010, which has inspired the British media to demand reform of the oppressive British libel law.
