On June 24, 2019 Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) joined the LGBTQ community in celebrating the annual Twin Cities Pride in Minnesota.
Omar posted videos and pictures of her dancing and celebrating with members of the LGBTQ community.
Omar tweeted:
“#HappyPride! I had a fantastic time dancing, hugging, and celebrating #TCPride with everyone this weekend! ❤️🧡#Pride”
Omar also retweeted a message by a Twitter user by the name “David W. Former Trump supporter”:
“Remember when conservatives said that Muslims do not like LBGT people, this goes to show you how wrong they are among being wrong about many other things. Thank you @IlhanMN for being an ally for the LBGT community.”
